Youko Kanamori (Great Pretender Episodes 14 and 21 director and storyboarder) is serving as the series director, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun) as series screenwriter, Toshiya Kouno (Schwarzesmarken sub-character designer) and Satoshi Furuhashi as character designers, and Masaru Yokoyama (Horimiya) as music composer. PINE JAM is in charge of the animation production for the anime.
Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess is based on the gag manga series written by Robinson Haruhara and illustrated by Hirakei, which was first serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ online magazine on April 4, 2019. Twelve tankoubon volumes have been released as of July 2023, with a 13th volume set for release on January 4, 2024.
The manga’s story follows a captive princess held who is subjected to “torture” by the Hellhorde, who tempt her with delicious Japanese food and snacks.
