Strictly’s Carlo Gu is comforted by partner Angela Scanlon as he breaks down in tears following the duo’s ‘incredible’ performance in Blackpool

Carlos Gu couldn’t hold in his emotions on Saturday night as he was left thrilled with the feedback his partner Angela Scanlon received from the judges.
The Strictly Come Dancing professional broke down in tears during the iconic Blackpool special following their Argentine Tango to Back To Black by Amy Winehouse.
The intimate dance featured no backing dancers, with intense red and black mood lighting, and plenty of clean flicks and kicks.
While speaking to Claudia Winkleman about their dance, Angela confessed their performance felt extra special as it was in Blackpool.
She comforted her partner and started to wipe away Carlos’ tears, he said: ‘I’m more than happy, I’m so proud of her. I’m so happy the judges gave comments to her like that.

‘She’s been down for quite a few weeks and hearing that, it’s just- I’m really happy.’
Angela pulled Carlos in for a hug as she thanked him for his kind words.
The performance earned the pair an incredible 38 points, with judges Shirely Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Anton du Beke all giving the couple perfect 10s.
Anton gushed: ‘Beautiful legs, immaculate styling, my favourite dance of the night’
‘You brought your ultimate performance, precision and instinct. I’m overwhelmed, adored it,’ agreed Shirley.
While Motsi added: ‘Your best number, so much control, incredible’.
However Craig Revel Horwood commented: ‘Legs too stiff, not loose enough but the storytelling and partnership, oh my goodness, wonderful’.
Craig award the duo an 8 leaving the pair with a total score of 38.

It’s a huge improvement on last week when Angela and Carlos walked away with 28 points for their American Smooth.
Their current score has put them in second place on the leaderboard, only one point behind joint firsts Layton Williams and Ellie Leach.
One the other end of the leaderboard, Angela Rippon is at the bottom with a total of 28.
