RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under star is DETAINED by authorities

One RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under 2023 star was allegedly detained by authorities for illegally entering New Zealand to film the show.
The ICONIC drag series just finished airing, with queen Isis Avis Loren being crowned the winner. And whilst the season was a roaring success, so much drama went down behind the scenes that it almost derailed the show!
As revealed in episode 316 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Sydney-based queen Hollywould Star AKA Timothy Springs, was at the centre of it all.
Hollywould, who originally hails from the US, was on an Australian visa as she’d started her drag journey Down Under.
However, one insider told So Dramatic! that the 34-year-old ILLEGALLY entered New Zealand to film the show.
“When border security found out when she was leaving [New Zealand] to go back to Australia, they wouldn’t let her leave and detained her,” they dished.
“We have no idea how she got into the country in the first place. But by the time she was leaving, they’d clocked on and said ‘Your visa isn’t valid, you’ve been here illegally’ and detained her.”

According to our source, Hollywould wasn’t allowed back into Australia because she’s not a citizen, so she went to Fiji, where the visa rules aren’t as strict, and then Japan.
However, she’s since returned to Australia.
RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under producers were considering CANNING the season
In light of the drama, the show’s production company World of Wonder were considering canning the season.
“There were questions raised over whether they were legally allowed to air the season because [Hollywould] had been an illegal alien in the country while they were filming,” our source spilled.
“They were worried that if they aired the series, they’d be in trouble for not checking her visa properly.”

According to our source, the Sydney drag scene caught wind of the rumours that the show may be cancelled.
“The drag queens were furious at the time,” they added. “Not to mention, [Hollywould] made it to the top five so [producers] couldn’t even cut her out.” And we thought things were spicy enough on-screen…
RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under’s Hollywould LIES about her age
But the drama didn’t stop there… The source then revealed that Hollywould also lied about her age when applying for the show.
“She claimed she said the wrong age by accident. She said she’s 28 not 32,” they explained. And fair enough. We ‘accidentally’ forget our age too sometimes!

“RuPaul [Charles] calls her out for lying about her age during filming when on the main stage,” they said.
“That same episode, Hollywould gets eliminated because she lied. It all goes down very dramatically, which is great drama for the show.” And we’re not complaining, we live for the drama!
RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under’s Hollywould DENIES claims she was detained
So Dramatic! contacted Hollywould for comment and she vehemently denied all allegations that she’d been detained, stating that she was an American citizen and Warner Brothers got her a visa to work in New Zealand.
“The visa and detained stories are made up lies from jealous Sydney drag queens who were upset they didn’t get on the show and Warner Brothers wanted me,” she responded.
She also denied ever visiting Fiji and Japan, however, snaps on her Instagram taken in both countries say otherwise.

So Dramatic! has contacted Stan for comment however they didn’t reply to our request.
So Dramatic! has also contacted New Zealand border security, who said they require a privacy waiver and authorisation from the individual in question before providing information regarding their case. However, Hollywould refused to give us permission to access the documents.
