Peninsula Man Accused Of Sending Criminal Threats To Ex

REDWOOD CITY, CA — A man accused of sending threatening texts was arrested this month with several handguns, according to Redwood City police.Detectives allege they were informed last week about threats sent by an East Palo Alto man to his ex-girlfriend, including an image sent of him holding a handgun. Investigators visited the man's home Wednesday, and executed a search warrant.According to police, officers discovered four handguns, including the one used in the image, along with ammunition and four pounds of marijuana.Police identified the suspect Thursday as Jose Padilla-Hernandez, 47, of East Palo Alto.
