Suspected Felony Vehicular Hijacking in Chicago, 60-Year-Old Charged After Alleged Incident
An individual has been taken into custody and faces a felony vehicular hijacking charge after an incident involving a 53-year-old male delivery driver in Chicago. According to a press release by the Chicago Police Department, 60-year-old William Peterson was arrested by the department’s Vehicular Hijacking Task Force.
In broad daylight on August 26, just after the morning had peeled back the cover of night, William Peterson allegedly forced the victim to surrender his vehicle around 7:01 a.m. in the 500 block of W. Briar Pl. Striking on the 7700 block of S. Muskegon Ave., law enforcement identified and apprehended Peterson the following day, as detailed by the Chicago Police Department. He was found residing on the 7600 block of S. Colfax Ave in Chicago.
Peterson is slated for a detention hearing at the address of 2600 S. California on today's date, as per the Chicago Police Department.
