Dana White Hits Back at Backlash Leaving Fans in Euphoria With UFC 308 Promo
Right after the mesmerizing fights at UFC 307, the MMA promotion left the fighting community with gaping eyes and high entropy with a promotional video for UFC 308. Needless to say, the entire world of mixed martial arts is excited to watch Max Holloway make his stand against the featherweight champion, Ilia Topuria. No wonder Dana White simply laughed when a few fans attacked him on social media for doing a poor job with fight announcements and promos.
Not too long before UFC 307, the UFC head honcho took to Instagram and shared a video where he announced the fights that were destined to entertain the fight fans at Delta Center. However, there was one fan who pointed out that PFL was way better at announcing fights than UFC. In the comments section, the fan wrote, “please fix your promotion and the way you announce fights. no reason the PFL should have better promo than the premier MMA company in the world.” But all that the UFC CEO replied with was “LMFAO!!!!!”
The boxing realm took the promotional videos a few notches higher as the organization deployed impressive cinematics to promote the fight between Artur Beterbiev and Dimitry Bivol. When such comparisons are made, the UFC does fall short with a bit of average visuals. Despite the shortfalls, these promotional videos seldom fail to create hype around the fights.

As soon as the UFC shared the promo video for UFC 308, the fans’ entropy began to rise up. Action-packed fight scenes with Joe Rogan’s voice in the background were everything that Dana White needed to promote UFC’s events. And that ensured an epic response from the fighting community.
Dana White leaves fight fans in awe with UFC 308 promo video despite receiving backlash on fight announcements
Most of the fight fans couldn’t wait to watch UFC 308. One fan commented, “Cant wait for this one.” While another fan claimed, “This event is gonna be so sick.” The promotional video was enough to ensure that the fans attended the event. After all, a comment read, “ill be there no matter what.” Some of the fans connected the upcoming numbered event with UFC 307. The way Alex Pereira and Khalil Rountree Jr. battled in the main event had the entire world amazed. A comment read, “I think it will be a special event like UFC 307.”
On top of that, Max Holloway seemed to be the major attraction for UFC 308. The BMF champion greatly impressed the fighting community with a last-second knockout win at UFC 300. And the hopes about him continuing the trend were pretty high too. One fan wrote, “Any fight with Max has got to get the blood pumping!” Even the fight between Khamzat Chimaev and Robert Whittaker worked wonders in pumping the community up. One comment went like, “Max and Rob – 2 of the most liked fighters in UFC history vs Ilia and Khamzat – 2 of the biggest heels in the company. Reckon this card will break a lot of hearts, unfortunately….. eek.”
Nevertheless, there were a few comments that pointed out the superiority of boxing promos. Hinting at the promo for Bivol vs. Beterbiev, one fan commented, “God MMA promos are mid just Joe Rogan speaking with elevator music on. Meanwhile Boxing has this. Dana needs better marketing team.” Another disappointment was the timing of the event. A fan expressed disappointment by quoting, “It’s such a shame that the main card starts at like 1 pm.”
But at the end of the day, White doesn’t need to do much to promote UFC events. The promise of action and entertainment is what pulls the fight fans into the arena. And they are seldom disappointed.
