BOL Premium Nugget: New Alabama prediction for Top 100 recruit
It’s prediction time (again) on the BamaOnLine Round Table.
On Tuesday morning, the BOL recruiting staff submitted predictions for Alabama to flip SMU quarterback pledge Keelon Russell. A few hours later, the blue-chip signal caller announced his commitment to the Tide and canceled future visits elsewhere.
BOL has now submitted a prediction for Bama to land yet another Top 100 overall player who officially visited The Capstone this past weekend: California-based defensive back Chuck McDonald.
McDonald informed us immediately after his multi-day stay in Tuscaloosa that Alabama was the team to beat in his recruitment. According to sources, McDonald continues to feel very strongly about Bama and his interest level in the program.

We’re told that McDonald is leaning toward canceling his previously scheduled official visits to Georgia (June 7), Oregon (June 14), and USC (June 21) and locking things down with the Tide.
BOL’s Andrew Bone and Joseph Hastings have each submitted predictions for Alabama to land McDonald’s commitment.
McDonald is one of the nation’s top players in the 2025 cycle. The On3 Industry Rankings tab him as the No. 82 overall prospect in this class. He’s also listed as the No. 9 cornerback and the No. 7 rising senior in the state of California.
McDonald hails from Mater Dei High School, a powerhouse program out West. Mater Dei is home to Alabama linebacker commitment Abduall Sanders, as well as recent official visitor and On300 running back Jordon Davison.
Mater Dei alumni Domani Jackson and Zabien Brown are on Bama’s roster.
