Danbury Man Operated A 'Drug Factory' In His Home: Police
DANBURY, CT — Police have charged a Danbury man with several drug-related offenses, following a months-long investigation.The investigation was initiated following complaints the DPD had received from residents about the activities of Dakota Lancey, age 24.During surveillance of his home in Park Brook Apartments on Jeanette Street on Thursday, police apprehended Lancey as he pulled into the parking lot.Executing court-authorized search warrants, police say they found drugs, a scale, and packaging material in the suspect's 2017 Mercedes-Benz. In his apartment, detectives seized approximately $57,000 in cash, narcotics, hallucinogens, cocaine, packaging material, and an electronic scale, according to police spokesperson Erin Henry. Police also seized the Benz.Lancey was charged with operating a drug factory, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a hallucinogen with intent to sell, possession of a narcotic substance with intent to sell, possession of over five ounces of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
