He’s Separated From His Wife And Dating Someone New, But She Suddenly Wants To Fix Their Marriage
Twelve months ago, this 37-year-old man’s 37-year-old wife mentioned that she wanted to separate from him after six years of marriage. He and his wife have a five and two-year-old, and they own a home together.
In the months leading up to his wife asking for a separation, they were really struggling in their relationship.
He says this was because of his anxiety and depression, and his mental health suffered after the loss of two of his family members.
So, for the last year, he and his wife have continued living in the house they share because they wanted to try to make an effort for their kids.
However, the last two months have been a complete nightmare as he and his wife fought constantly over the terms of their separation.
His wife insisted on keeping their home and gaining full custody of their children, which he didn’t like.
While they argued about this, his wife would call him names and make him feel terrible about his poor mental health.
Additionally, she basically said all of their issues were all his fault. He also lost his job in April, and his wife didn’t care at all, let alone offer to support him in a financial or emotional sense.
He knows he hasn’t been his best self and is partially to blame for all of the ugly fighting. But this has absolutely taken a toll on him mentally, and he has turned to drinking alone at night when everyone else in the house is fast asleep.

Since his wife has been nothing but adamant about their separation for an entire year, he just rented an apartment close to their home so he can spend as much time with his children as possible.
Tomorrow, he’s supposed to be moving out, and he has a new woman in his life whom he is currently dating.
“The thing is, I met someone about 2 months ago who I have formed a really strong relationship with; we get along really well, have fun together, understand each other’s issues, and both want to explore further and see where this goes,” he said.
His wife was unaware of his relationship, but two weeks ago, when he brought up moving out of their house, he addressed his new girlfriend.
Last night, he and his wife were discussing his move-out date along with their upcoming schedule for their children, including when he would be spending time with them at the house.
Unexpectedly, his wife admitted to him that she no longer wants him to move out and get his own place, and she wants to be done with their separation, too.
“She breaks down and tells me that she doesn’t want me to leave and wants to work on us getting back together,” he added.
“She doesn’t care that I have been intimate with someone else and says she will get over it and that we need to stay together as a family.”
“I honestly did not see this coming at all and was really surprised by this as I fully believed we were over and there was no going back, especially with all of the fighting and nasty things that have been said. I had made peace with this and was fully prepared to move on with my life.”
He just feels super blindsided, as his wife has spent a literal year arguing with him and saying she wants nothing more than to be done with him.
He’s left wondering what on earth he should do: move out and start his new life with his girlfriend, or stay in his home and fix his marriage like his wife wants.
