Lorraine Kelly has expressed her joy and excitement to become a grandmother as her daughter expects her first baby.
Rosie Smith, whom Lorraine shares with husband Steve Smith, has also revealed the sex of her unborn child.
Last month, Lorraine was delighted to announce that their family would be growing, as Rosie, 29, took to social media with a picture of her growing bump.
Her Instagram caption read: ‘We could not be more excited – you’re already so loved little one 💕’.
Now, in a joint interview, the mother and daughter duo shared that Rosie’s baby will be a girl.
They did so with a fun gender reveal, cutting open a dog-friendly cake for pooch Ruby, a miniature wire-haired dachshund, to enjoy, with pink icing in the centre.

Speaking to Hello! Magazine about the impending arrival in September, Lorraine, 64, said: ‘This is the most exciting thing to happen to our family, well, since Rosie was born.
‘Last night, I felt the baby kick for the first time, which was extraordinary. It made it feel real.’

During her talk show on Monday, Lorraine also revealed she’d was calling her grand daughter Tallullah Belle, despite knowing that won’t be her name.
Speaking about the impending arrival, she said: ‘I’m calling her that in my head but don’t think she will be called that but it will be great because we will have my granny, my mum, me, Rosie and the wee tiny baby and we will have to take a photo with that.’
‘She is six months now and is absolutely blooming.’
The daytime TV icon has no issues with being called ‘granny’ either.
Explaining that being a grandparent is something she always ‘really wanted one day’, Lorraine clarified in OK! that she ‘never wanted to put Rosie under any pressure.’
‘My married name is Smith so I’ll be known as Granny Smith, like the apple!’, she added gleefully.
As for how she’s been coping with pregnancy thus far, Rosie suffered from relentless nausea for her second, third, and fourth months.

Thankfully, she’s now feeling much brighter and is starting to get serious – by thinking of names.
She initially ‘really wanted to have a Scottish connection’ and had a moniker selected for a son, but she’s found girls’ names much harder to decide on.
No matter what, she’s got mum Lorraine – who recently won a Bafta in honour of her lengthy career in broadcasting – by her side.
In fact, Lorraine had a feeling that Rosie was pregnant before she even told her – call it mother’s intuition.
‘I thought she was looking a wee bit peaky, but I had no idea it was that, so it was the best possible surprise,’ Lorraine said of the news, adding that, of course, she burst into tears upon finding out.
Rosie chimed in to say she and her partner, Steve, had talked ‘a lot’ about starting a family.

‘We both wanted to become parents quite young so that our parents can be around for as much as possible.’
Lorraine and Rosie – born in 1994 – have always been incredibly close.
Speaking previously to Weekend magazine after Rosie moved out of the family home, Lorraine said the pair ‘talk about everything under the sun’.
‘I’m her mum, though, I’d never say I was her best friend because she’s got her friends already. I’d love to think she tells me everything but she doesn’t.’
Rosie also works in broadcasting, having studied journalism at Edinburgh Napier University for four years.
In 2023, she joined Jeremy Vine on his Channel 5 show, discussing topical matters.
She’s also appeared alongside her famous mum on Celebrity Gogglebox.
