2nd Person Hurt In MI Walmart Stabbing Released From Hospital
GARFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI — A second person has been treated and released from the hospital after a mass stabbing at a Walmart store in northern Michigan last weekend, health officials said Tuesday.In Tuesday's update, Munson health officials said six people were in fair condition, one person was in good condition while two others have been treated and moved to another hospital.Officials have not identified the victims, who range in age from 29 to 84 years old."We are incredibly proud of our physicians, nurses, surgeons, clinical teams, and support staff at Munson Healthcare. Their commitment to healing and recovery during this challenging time is a powerful testament to the resilience and unity of our healthcare community," health officials said Tuesday.Bradford James Gille, 42, of Afton, was charged with one count of felony terrorism and 11 counts of assault with intent to murder. He was placed in jail with a $100,000 bond. He pleaded not guilty and is expected back in court on Aug. 6.The attack happened at 4:45 p.m. Saturday at the store in Garfield Township, which is just outside Traverse City, police said.Police said Gille, acting alone, entered the store and used a 3.5-inch folding knife to stab 11 people.
