After the manufacturer refused to accept their return, the wholesale club’s 100% satisfaction guarantee came to the rescue.

The Reddit community r/Costco is an unofficial space where members and employees can share their thoughts and feelings about the store.
Costco’s returns policy is a popular topic of discussion, and in a recent thread, some customers sang the store’s praises for its generosity in handing out refunds.
One revealed they had a great experience after purchasing a set of non-stick cookware by the popular brand Ninja.
They had been dissatisfied with the products and attempted to take advantage of the five-year warranty advertised on the packaging.
However, when they tried to get a refund from Ninja directly, they had no luck.
“Despite a five-year warranty plastered everywhere and a $300+ price tag, customer service accused me of intentionally destroying them and then told me to pay for a replacement,” they wrote.
However, the customer was able to score a full refund on the same products by taking them to the returns desk at Costco.
They said the store accepted their return with “no problem at all.”
The customer vowed they would keep their “membership forever” as a result of the positive experience.
Others in the thread revealed they had enjoyed similar success with Costco’s customer service.
“That’s pretty much the norm for Costco return,” said one.
“It’s one of the main reasons they have so much customer loyalty.”

Costco members can get a refund for a product even if they no longer have the receipt.
That’s because associates can lookup each member’s purchase history using their membership card.

What are the details of the famous return policy?
“We guarantee your satisfaction on every product we sell, and will refund your purchase price,” the return policy states.
There are a few exceptions to this 100% satisfaction guarantee which are:
Electronics – Returns will be accepted within 90 days of the date the member received the product.
Diamonds – 1.00ct or larger must be returned with all original paperwork within 48 hours and they will be inspected for authenticity.
Cigarettes and alcohol – These items cannot be returned by law.
Items with a limited useful life expectancy such as batteries and tires cannot be returned.
Special Order Kiosk and Custom Installed Programs can only be returned or refunded if under warranty repair/replacement.
Gold bullion, bars, and silver coins are non-refundable.
Shop Cards are non-refundable.
Airline and Live Performance Event items are non-refundable.
Costco memberships can be canceled and refunded at any time if a customer is dissatisfied.
This even works on gifted products, as one woman recently found out.
Although TikTok user @rainbowsunshineeee was not a member, she had been gifted a Keurig coffee maker purchased at Costco.
As she shared in a video, the store was able to look up the purchase simply with a photo of the membership card from the person who gifted her the Keurig.
The non-member was able to get the full amount refunded to her debit card with no hassle.
“That was way easier than I thought it would be,” she said.
