“I any case, I have to move my hands”: There is One Naruto Jutsu Masashi Kishimoto Dreaded Drawing Even During the Anime’s Peak Popularity
Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of the popular Shonen anime Naruto, has created a vast world of shinobis. The series made its manga debut in 1999 and ended in 2014 after more than a decade of a unifying journey. For all these years, Kishimoto had been drawing almost nonstop since Naruto was a weekly serialization.
The author dedicated years to the franchise and is still creating Boruto. However, the detailed Naruto panels must have been exhausting to some extent. The fatigue slowly builds up despite the mangaka’s love for drawing. In an interview, Kishimoto reflected upon his fatigue over drawing while creating Naruto.

In an interview, Masashi Kishimoto was asked which are his favorite Jutsus in Naruto. After explaining his likes, he also delved into the Jutsu that he hates drawing the most. Turns out it is actually the Jutsu that is one of the most beloved by fans.
The most painful is the “Tajuu: Kage Bunshin no Jutsu.” In any case, I have to move my hands.
Kage Bunshin no Jutsu, or the Shadow Clone Technique, is a powerful jutsu that allows users to create several copies of themselves. The user’s chakra is divided between themselves and the clones. So, in order to create multiple clones, the user must have a vast reserve of clones. Naruto, on the other hand, can even create thousands of clones.

Drawing so many clones to fit into a single panel must have been extremely hard. In fact, Masashi Kishimoto did not miss the details of the character in a single clone. Another character who could do the Kage Bunshin no Jutsu was Kakashi, who was also equally adept at it. Drawing so many clones as well as choreographing their movements, must have been exhausting for the mangaka, resulting in his exasperated sigh.

Along with the most painful Jutsu, Masashi Kishimoto also revealed the one technique that he enjoys the most.
The one that’s funny to draw, Chouji’s “Baika no Jutsu.” Because somehow I have a good feeling if I draw things big, without worrying about small things.
Is Masashi Kishimoto’s logic extremely weird? Yes, but if it works for him, who can say otherwise? Nonetheless, Baike no Jutsu is not only Kishimoto’s favorite but also an extremely funny Jutsu to watch. It is a technique used by the Akimichi Clan. By using this Jutsu, the user can alter the size of their body. In fact, the clan members can even make themselves huge if they are experienced.

The user can also choose to become extremely round as the expansion is applied to the torso. Fans loved watching the Akemichi clan members attempt this Jutsu. Maybe the author’s reasoning for forgetting about smaller matters by creating huge things is in fact true.
