Ana Navarro became the latest View host to be bleeped during an impassioned speech to the Latino community about the importance of "voting with dignity" in the upcoming U.S. presidential election.
The cohost delivered her remarks during a Hot Topics conversation about comedian Tony Hinchcliffe’s racist joke calling Puerto Rico an “island of garbage” at Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally on Sunday.
“He made jokes about Blacks, the whole trope about watermelons, he made a vile joke about Latinos that we can’t even put on daytime TV,” Navarro said of Hinchcliffe. “So, today, we are all in this together.”

She then began listing some examples of Trump's racist rhetoric over the years. “I’m going to say this particularly to my Latino community: if Trump asking for the death penalty for five young men of color — Black and Latino — the exonerated five wasn’t enough for you,” she said, referring to the Central Park Five case. “If Trump being investigated for refusing to rent to Black people wasn’t enough for you.”
Navarro didn’t stop there. “If Trump promoting a racist trope against the first Black president with a birtherist,” she said, before being bleeped for a sustained amount of time, appearing to call Trump’s remarks "birtherist bulls---."Entertainment Weekly has reached out to The View for further clarification.
The cohost went on to note that Trump has called Mexicans “bad hombres,” his political opponents “vermin, invaders, people who poison the blood of this country,” and recalled him throwing paper towels at people in need while visiting Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria in 2017.

“If Trump saying immigrants have made this country into the trash can of the world wasn’t enough for you, then maybe, just maybe, this comedian — handpicked, chosen, vetted by the Trump campaign because he reflects what Trump has said his entire lifetime, maybe that will be enough for you,” she declared. “And on Nov. 5, I want you to vote for your heritage, and your traditions, and your identity. I want you to vote with dignity and self-respect.”
Navarro concluded her speech by speaking directly to viewers in Spanish, earning a round of loud applause and cheers from the audience.
