Fatal Motorcycle Victim ID'd In Weekend Crash In Somerset County
FRANKLIN, NJ — Authorities have released the identitiy of the motorcyclist killed in a crash on Easton Avenue in Franklin Township this past weekend, announced Franklin Township Public Safety Director Quovella M. Maeweather.The victim was identified as 43-year-old Franklin Township resident, Darrell Montgomery, said Maeweather.On Saturday, June 1, at 12:17 a.m., the Franklin Township Police Department got a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on Easton Avenue near DeMott Lane.Police Officers, Firefighters, and EMS Personnel went to the scene. Due to the extent of the injuries sustained, the victim was pronounced dead at 1:01 a.m., said Maeweather.The factors that contributed to the crash are currently under investigation by the Franklin Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Bureau.A section of Easton Avenue was closed for around three hours due to the motor vehicle crash.Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Officer Robert Meyer at 732-873-5533 extension 3236 or at [email protected] .Have a news tip?
