Major Firefighter Training Facility Coming To Cherry Hill

CHERRY HILL, NJ — The Cherry Hill Fire Department is getting a multimillion-dollar addition that firefighters from throughout the region will also use.The department received $2 million in state funding to build a regional, multi-use training facility. Known as a "burn building," the facility will support scenario-based exercises, including some involving live fire.It will be located at the fire department's headquarters (1100 Marlkress Rd.).Firefighters from Cherry Hill and communities across the region will use the facility."The allocation of these funds is not only a huge win for Cherry Hill but for fire departments across Camden County," said County Commissioner Jonathan Young, liaison to the county Office of Emergency Management.
