Fans wondering why Joy Behar wasn't on The View this week got their answer today, thanks to her co-host, Whoopi Goldberg.
While Behar was at her usual post on Monday's episode of the talk show, she wasn't sitting at the table on Tuesday or Wednesday, when former co-host Star Jones took her place.

On Thursday, Feb. 6, Behar was nowhere to be seen again—but this time, Goldberg had an explanation, according to TV Insider.
“Joy is not here. We wish her a happy opening night. It’s tonight,” Goldberg said before launching into a “Hot Topic” discussion.
As previously announced, Behar is debuting her brand new off-Broadway show My First Ex-Husband this week at Mac-Haydn Theater in New York alongside Susie Essman, Tovah Feldshuh, and Adrienne C. Moore.

According to the official description of the show, “My First Ex-Husband is a bold and heartfelt adaptation of true stories by the legendary Joy Behar, comedienne and co-host of The View. With razor-sharp wit and no filters, it explores the messy, hilarious truths of love, sex, and relationships. Whether you’re happily coupled, cautiously committed, or considering changing the locks, relationships are complicated—and universally relatable. These stories are your stories, only funnier.”
The show will have a rotating cast, with a second lineup of actors including Judy Gold, Susan Lucci, Cathy Moriarty and Tonya Pinkins taking over on Feb. 26. A third cast featuring Veanne Cox, Gina Gershon, Jackie Hoffman and Andrea Navedo will start on March 26.
This isn't Behar's first live theatre experience, as Deadline reported. She's appeared onstage in such plays as Nicky Silver’s The Food Chain and Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues in addition to writing and performing her own solo show, Me, My Mouth and I, at the Cherry Lane Theatre.
