Man Threatens Public Official: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court.Every person arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.ARRESTSPOSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCETerence D. Lofton, 30, of the 34000 block of N. Lilac Avenue, unincorporated Grayslake, had a warrant for possession of a controlled substance, retail theft, battery, and was arrested July 21 in the 34000 block of N. Lilac Avenue, unincorporated Grayslake. He was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and a court date of Aug. 5 was assigned. DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE Enrique M. Valderrama, 27, of the 500 block of Woodmore Drive, Round Lake Beach, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of a crash with injuries, and was arrested July 21 at Yorkhouse and N. McCarthy roads, Wadsworth. He was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of Aug. 19. Blake J. Reed, 43, of the 34400 block of N. Sunshine Lane, Ingleside, had a warrant for DUI alcohol, and was arrested July 24 in the 34400 block of N. Sunshine Lane, Ingleside. He was released and assigned a court date of Aug. 21. Carmelo Atempa, 59, of the 3100 block of Elizabeth Avenue, Zion, is accused of DUI alcohol, no driver's license, no insurance, open transportation of alcohol, and was arrested July 26 at Sunset and Northern avenues, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 3. TRAFFIC OFFENSESteven R. Powers, 63, no permanent address, had a warrant out of DuPage County for a traffic offense, and was arrested July 21 at Route 59 and Wilson Road, Ingleside. A future court date in DuPage County was to be determined at the time of the report. VIOLATING AN ORDER OF PROTECTIONDaniel A. Guerrero, 18, of the 400 block of Cory Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of violating an order of protection, and was arrested July 22 in the 0-100 block of S. MLK Jr. Avenue, Waukegan. He was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of Aug. 12. Trevor D. Gutierrez, 27, of the 1300 block of N. Cedar Lake Road, Lake Villa, is accused of violating an order of protection, and was arrested July 23 at Beach Road and Loyola Avenue, Beach Park. Walleck, 52, of the 1000 block of Hayden, McHenry, is accused of threatening a public official, and was arrested July 22 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of Aug. 21. CONTEMPT OF COURTVanessa Uribe, 35, of the 2800 block of Elisha Avenue, Zion, had a warrant for contempt of court, and was arrested July 22 in the 300 block of Greenleaf Street, Park City. Bond was set at $2,000 and a court date of Aug. 4 was assigned. Sarah L. Lutinski, 34, of the 17800 block of W. Chippewa Road, unincorporated Grayslake, had a warrant for contempt of court, and was arrested July 22 in the 17800 block of W. Chippewa Road, unincorporated Grayslake. Bond was set at $1,000 and a court date of July 30 was assigned. AGGRAVATED BATTERY TO A PEACE OFFICERJack Z. Fitch, 22, of the 34800 block of N. Elm Street, Ingleside, is accused of domestic battery, aggravated battery to a peace officer, resisting causing injury, and was arrested July 22 in the 34800 block of N. Elm Street, Ingleside. He was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and a court date of Aug. 20 was assigned. CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTYKristina M. Krause, 43, of the 38500 block of Route 59, unincorporated Lake Villa, had a warrant out of Cook County For criminal damage to property, and was arrested July 23 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. A future court date in Cook County was to be determined at the time of the report. DISORDERLY CONDUCTChristopher Vazquez, 33, of the 0-100 block of W. Clarendon, Round Lake Beach, had a warrant out of Cook County for disorderly conduct, and was arrested July 23 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. A future court date in Cook County was to be determined at the time of the report. INTIMIDATIONDaniel A. Guerrero, 18, of the 400 block of Cory Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of intimidation/communication with a witness, violating an order of protection, and was arrested July 24 at the Lake County Jail. He was being detained in the at the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of Aug. 12. DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDEDCarlton A. Brooks, 37, of the 5600 block of S. Hermitage Avenue, Chicago, had a warrant for driving while license suspended, and was arrested July 24 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan.
