TCU’s depth chart for SMU game, starters and backups for Horned Frogs
The SMU Mustangs take on the TCU Horned Frogs on Saturday at 4 p.m. CT on The CW inside Gerald J. Ford Stadium. Sonny Dykes released his team’s depth chart for the week, which is below.
There’s a lot of familiarity between the two coaching staffs as Dykes had now SMU head coach Rhett Lashlee as his offensive coordinator from 2018-19 on the Hilltop.
“It’s a little bit unusual,” Dykes said this week. “A lot of us have had crossover, the coaches and guys that have worked together or worked on the same staff. A.J. (Ricker) was Rhett’s offensive line coach. There’s just all these things. Both teams are pretty familiar with each other. I don’t think there’s any kind of advantage to them or to us from that. You probably are inclined to tinker around with what you do a little bit more. And for us it’s stuff like game management, things like signals. You’ve gotta change your signals. You’ve gotta dummy signal things like that, because those are easy takeaways.”
