Search Underway for Missing Elderly Man with Alzheimer's in Holland, Public Assistance Sought
The Holland Police Department is actively seeking assistance from the public to locate 83-year-old Richard Frank Boss, a man with Alzheimer's disease, who went missing after last being seen by his family yesterday evening. In a report by WOOD TV, the elderly man is also said to be a diabetic and has difficulty walking. He is identified as wearing a yellow shirt bearing "Ludington," olive green shorts, and is never without a baseball hat - a particular love for McDonald's coffee also characterizes him.
Authorities have reason to believe that Boss may have departed from his home during the night, seen driving a silver/gray 2006 VW Touareg with Michigan license plate DPP971. This vehicle, according to a sighting reported to the Holland Police Department, was later seen in Wyoming around 5 a.m. this morning.
FOX 17 News urges anyone with information concerning the location of Mr. Boss to contact the Holland Department of Public Safety at (616) 355-1100 or the detectives at 355-1150. Alternatively, information can be relayed to the Ottawa County Central Dispatch center at 1-800-249-0911.
