'Emily In Paris' Cast Want A 'Sex And The City' Crossover
— Netflix / Paramount Pictures / GettyThere’s an “obvious” choice for a crossover with Emily in Paris — so much so that Lucas Bravo and his castmates are collectively “manifesting” a cameo from one of its iconic stars.In a new interview with IMDb, Bravo, who plays Gabriel on the Netflix comedy-drama, was asked which show he’d like to do a crossover with, and he didn’t hesitate with his answer: Sex and the City. He also shared that the EIP cast is trying get a specific member of the Fab Four on the show.“We’ve been talking about having Kim Cattrall, manifesting her presence on Emily in Paris,” he said. “But it would imply that there’s a substantial role for her to take on, and also [for] her to say yes to that idea. But I’ve been floating all day and dreaming about that opportunity and I hope it happens.”Cattrall already has a notable connection to the series: She played Samantha Jones on Sex and the City, another show from Emily in Paris creator Darren Star. Bravo’s co-star Lily Collins (Emily) told IMDb that SATC would be the “obvious but also genuine” choice for a potential crossover. “Just because naturally I feel like there’s a lot of crossover there,” she explained.Several of Bravo and Collins’ co-stars agree with that logic. Ashley Park (Mindy) and Lucien Laviscount (Alfie) signed off on the crossover pairing as well, with Park telling IMDb, “Sex and the City, too. I mean, obviously.”Separately, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie) and Bruno Gouery (Luc) also called for a SATC-Emily in Paris crossover. “The obvious [answer] is Sex and the City,” Leroy-Beaulieu said, prompting Gouery to chime in, “It’s obvious, yeah.”Emily In Paris Meets Sex And The CityWhile a crossover of the two shows remains a pipe dream, it’s not completely out of the realm of possibility. After all, Cattrall supported Star by attending the EIP Season 3 premiere in December 2022. It was a throwback to their Sex and the City days in the late 1990s, before Star handed off showrunning duties to Michael Patrick King in 2000.More recently, the SATC spinoff, And Just Like That, happened to lay the groundwork for a potential Cattrall cameo. The sequel series has revealed that Samantha, like Emily, is an American living in Europe. When Cattrall briefly reprised the role of Samantha in the Season 2 finale, her character showed that she’s very settled in London — just a stone’s throw away from Emily in Paris.An EIP cameo seems more likely for Cattrall than a return to the world of SATC. She recently dashed fan hopes of a return to AJLT. “Aw that’s so kind but I’m not,” Cattrall replied to a fan on X (formerly Twitter) who incorrectly stated she was going to be back for the spinoff’s third season.
