J. Prince Slams Lil Woody & YSL Prosecutor For Mentioning Him During RICO Trial: ‘Black-On-Black Racism Feels The Worst’
Music exec J. Prince didn’t appreciate being brought up during the ongoing YSL RICO trial.
The Houston native recently called out YSL associate Kenneth “Lil Woody” Copeland and Fulton County Deputy District Attorney Simone Hylton in a social media post, after he was potentially implicated in the case during a court hearing.

James ‘J.’ Prince, 59, addressed the matter on Instagram yesterday (August 26th), writing:
“Nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to fake-a** people putting my name in their mouth.”
He continued:
“But I still find it very interesting how some prosecutors will go above and beyond the call of duty to try and destroy a man’s life for being inspired by a successful Black entrepreneur like myself. Btw, Black-on-Black racism feels the worst. #freeyoungthug”
Young Thug
The Rap-A-Lot Records founder shared a clip from the ongoing Young Thug/YSL RICO trial where the prosecutor grilled YSL associate Lil Woody about a comment he made, stating that Young Thug wanted to “be the J. Prince” of Atlanta. When asked to explain the remark further, Lil Woody insisted that he “don’t know” who J. Prince is and doubled down on his claims that he lied to police to get authorities off his back, stating:
““I told you for the 10th time…I’m gonna tell the police anything, and that’s what I did.”
As you may know, Young Thug, real name Jeffrey Williams, 33, has been behind bars for over two years as he stands accused of heading the alleged YSL gang and carrying out a number of gang-related crimes with the group over a decade. The case officially kicked off in January of last year and is expected to last at least through the end of the 2024 calendar year.
Despite several bond attempts, Young Thug will most likely remain in police custody until the trial concludes.
