NEW LONDON, CT — Police are investigating after reports of shots fired in New London Thursday evening, according to the New London Police Department. The shooting was reported at 5:36 p.m. near Blackhall and Prest Streets, where responding officers found evidence of gunfire, police said.The scene was processed and evidence — including a vehicle that had been involved — was recovered. No one was injured and the shooting does not appear to be a random act, police said.Police are urging anyone with information to contact the New London Police Department at 860-447-1481 or anonymous information may be submitted via the New London Tips 411 system by texting NLPDTip plus the information to Tip411 (847411).
