Man Who Tagged Graffiti With Social Media Handle Arrested: Raritan PD
RARITAN, NJ — Police were able to arrest a man after he signed his graffiti with a his own social media handle, according to the Raritan Police.On May 23, Raritan Police Officers noticed fresh graffiti along a bridge wall on Route 206 near Sherman Avenue. The graffiti appeared to be a social media handle, said police.Through various investigative means, including the use of social media and license plate readers, Hunter Hunt, 29, of Salem, was charged with criminal mischief.Charges are pending for Hunt in numerous jurisdictions. "In an effort to help us and other law enforcement agencies, we strongly encourage other prospective graffiti artists to tag their work with their social media handle," said police.Other Raritan Police blotter items:On May 24 at 2:07 a.m.: Casey Hudson, 32, of Middlesex, was taken into custody at the Raritan Train Station on an outstanding warrant. Hudson's warrant was issued by the Borough of Middlesex Municipal Court for contempt of a judicial order. Hudson was lodged in the Somerset County Jail. On May 26: Ulises Castro-Chavarria, 39, of Raritan, was charged with criminal mischief following an incident that occurred on April 28. On April 28, Chavarria was walking along North Second Avenue when he retrieved a ceramic plant vase from a porch and threw it at a parked vehicle on North Second Avenue. "We would like to thank the public for helping us identify Chavarria," said police.On May 28 at 12:18 a.m.: Gabriella Romero-Guardado, 29, of Raritan, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Third Street. Guardado was additionally charged with careless driving, reckless driving, possession of an open container of alcohol, and driving with a suspended driver’s license. Guardado was released pending a court appearanceOn May 28 at 8:14 p.m.: Patrol officers were dispatched to the Stonebridge Apartment Complex for a medical call. On scene, officers determined that no medical assistance was required. It was discovered that the subject of the call, Brigette Calo, 43, of Raritan, had a warrant for her arrest issued by the Readington Township Municipal Court. A search of Calo yielded a quantity of medication that was not prescribed to her. Calo was charged with failure to turn over a controlled dangerous substance and released pending a court appearance.Have a news tip?
