Mark Coleman Finds Jake Paul “Very Good” & Gives His Vote of Confidence to Mike Tyson’s Rival
At the age of 57, nearly two decades after his retirement, Mike Tyson is gearing up to face Jake Paul in an eight-round professional boxing match on July 20. Tyson, nearly thirty years Paul’s senior and suffering from a bevy of health issues, is expected to struggle against the California native. Some, however, feel Tyson, one of the best to ever do it, will be able to go toe-to-toe with Paul for sixteen minutes.
This includes UFC’s first heavyweight champion Mark Coleman, who himself had plans to step into the world of celebrity boxing last year. However, as Tyson-Paul approaches closer, ‘Hammer’ seems to have changed his mind.
Coleman weighs in on Tyson-Paul
Mike Tyson’s coach, Rafael Cordeiro, had dismissed concerns about Tyson’s health, stating that ‘Iron Mike’ had been a former world champion and fought the very best in the world in his heyday. Cordeiro believes that Tyson’s upcoming eight-round fight against ‘The Problem Child’ has nothing new to offer to the former heavyweight champion, who had been there and done that countless times before.
And Coleman had expressed total agreement with Cordero’s sentiment. However, in a recent post, the UFC veteran expressed confidence that ‘The Problem Child’ will give a respectable showing in the boxing match. ‘The Hammer’, who is the pioneer of the use of hammer fists on downed opponents, is coming off a serious health scare. Earlier this year, after his suburban house caught fire, the American would spring into action and carry his aged parents out of their bedroom.
As he went back to rescue his beloved dog, he lost consciousness and was rushed to the hospital for extreme smoke inhalation, but he managed to make a full recovery. Coleman, however, is back and going strong, as he posted another video of him hitting the pads, looking quick and sharp. In the comment section of this post, one of his fans jokingly warned that he should “Watch out for jake paul calling you out mark,” as ‘The Problem Child’ has a proclivity for fighting retired mixed martial artists. This prompted the 59-year-old to predict that “jake is very good he [t]oo going to do well” in a reply to the fan’s original comment.

While Coleman seems confident about Paul giving Mike Tyson a tough fight, ‘Iron Mike’ has other plans.
Mike Tyson promises ‘carnage’ against Jake Paul
Ahead of their controversial clash in Arlington, Texas, Paul and Tyson met for an explosive press conference. Tyson fans were pleased to see the 57-year-old looking remarkably sharp and fit, moving well, and in a good state of mind. While ‘Iron Mike’ confessed that he liked Jake, he pointed out that “anybody [is a] threat [when] there’s two men in the ring,” before going on to say that he didn’t consider the former Disney star a formidable opponent with fearing.
“I’m not concerned about anything. If I was concerned, I wouldn’t be here talking to you.” Despite his largely laid-back demeanor and largely amicable nature of the press conference, the New York native was clear that he was “going to finish [Paul],” and ominously predicted “carnage, really bad stuff.”
