By Tamara Fuentes
The Lincoln Lawyer had us at the edge of our seats as Mickey faced his hardest case yet. After spending the last few weeks in court trying to align all the dots to bring Detective Bishop to the stand, it looks like his plan is finally starting to work. But will be able to prove that Julian is truly innocent? Or will the system and Bishop's testimony tank his only chance at saving him?
Here's the ultimate breakdown of the The Lincoln Lawyer season 3 finale.
We're kicking things off with a flashback...
This shouldn't come off as too much of a surprise considering the fact that it's all coming down to this testimony, but we get to see Bishop 10 years earlier and see how he first met De Marco. De Marco asks him about the case that he is currently working on, which involves the cartel. De Marco forces Bishop to work with him and help hide the truth about the case.

We then head back to court where Bishop formally takes the stand and Mickey begins to question him. Bishop admits that De Marco was the one who told him to get involved in the Glory Days case, which surprises the jury and Forsythe. Mickey notices someone in the back of the room texting, leading him to believe that De Marco has someone on the inside listening in on what is going on the case. He texts Cisco who goes out looking to see if there is a link. He spots De Marco looking at a text message and running into a building before we're back in the courtroom.

Mickey continues his questioning...
Where he starts to ask Bishop how him and De Marco first got involved. Bishop admits that he was the one under the hat who was following Gloria at the hotel. Bishop notes that De Marco asked him to follow Gloria and figure out where she lives.
Bishop checked into the hotel under a false name and set up a meeting with Gloria while giving the information of the couple who was staying across the hall in order to hide his involvement. He also followed her back to her place, but Judge Turner stops him from going any further and asks him if he would like to seek council before continuing. Bishop says he hasn't committed any crimes and that he is fine to continue, but Judge Turner asks him to give in his gun before he can continue.

Mickey continues with his questioning, where Bishop admits that he texted De Marco the address of Gloria's apartment and he saw Julian walk into her place, but he left 15 minutes later. De Marco appeared not so long after and Bishop admits that left the scene after he noticed that De Marco disappeared through the side of the building and couldn't see him anymore. He says that he believed De Marco was hiding himself from the security cameras in the front, but that he didn't think Gloria would die. However, he had some sort of feeling that something wasn't right.
Meanwhile, Cisco is following De Marco...
Who then tries to speed away from him at a red light which is where Cisco loses him.
Back in the courtroom, Bishop admits that De Marco paid him money to keep quiet about the truth over what really happened in the Juarez Cartel case and since then, De Marco has held it over him over the years. He also notes that he asked De Marco if he killed Gloria and he said, "when he went into her apartment, she was already dead. He said he set the fire because he didn't know if she had anything that would link him to her, and he didn't want it coming back on him." Despite it all, he wanted to believe De Marco, but ultimately didn't.
After Mickey ends his questioning, Bishop pulls out a gun from under his seat and shoots himself in the mouth in the middle of the courtroom...

Some time later...
We see Mickey walking down the street where he thinks about what happened in court that day. He bumps into Andy who notes that she was looking for him. She tells him that it wasn't his fault and that it was Bishop's decision the entire time. Andy also tells him that Mickey was right all along about the system and that she plans to take over the Glass case since Vanessa is failing. Andy is later seen walking into Suarez's office that she will take over Scott Glass case or they can let her go.
The next day, Mickey visits Julian at the hospital who has since regained consciousness. Mickey reveals that the trial has been thrown out and that Julian has the option to sue if he would like to get some sort of compensation.
In the office, Izzy and Lorna talk about how they haven't seen Mickey this rattled since Eddie's accident. When Mickey returns home, he notices that someone was there, but it's actually just Hayley who apologizes for everything. Mickey admits hat he's been thinking about quitting, but she stops him and notes that he saved an innocent person and that she's thinking about following in her parents' footsteps. Mickey gets emotional over Hayley's return before we...
