Last week, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation came back with a new episode for the second half of Season 7. While fans were excited to see new episodes, many were upset that Ronnie Ortiz-Magro didn’t make an appearance. Continue reading to see what they have to say.
What’s Happening In The Second Half Of Season 7?
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was the only cast member missing from the latest episode, which aired on September 19. Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, Angelina Pivarnick, Vinny Guadagnino, Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio, and Deena Cortese were all there.
Other cast members showed up in the episode too, including Nikki Hall, Pauly’s girlfriend. So, many Jersey Shore fans were wondering why Ronnie wasn’t around. He wasn’t featured in the opening credits or throughout the episode.
Much of episode 19 followed Ronnie’s ex, Sammi, as she starts her IVF journey. The couple initially met each other during the first season of Jersey Shore. However, Sammi is now engaged to Justin May, who has been featured on the show.
Justin and Sammi got engaged in April 2024, which will be featured later in this season of the MTV show.

Other teasers for the season have shown Sammi and Angelina squashing their beef, but of course, Angelina found someone new to feud with. She and Mike are having it out because he feels like Angelina isn’t being a good friend.
Snooki has a storyline of her own. She is trying to find brothers, sisters, and other relatives to connect with. The Jersey Shore star was adopted, so it will be interesting to see her find some of her long-lost family.
On top of that, Vinny is working on a stand-up comedy career. Angelina is having problems with her fiance, Vinny Tortorella. Also, her attack on Snooki’s stylist will play out in future episodes.
Will Ronnie Return To Jersey Shore For The Rest Of Season 7?
What fans aren’t seeing is Ronnie. Although many people were glad to see Family Vacation back on television, there were quite a few that took to social media to lament about Ronnie’s absence.
“Where is Ronnie I’m gonna have a heart attack if I don’t see Ronnie lol,” one person commented on the Jersey Shore Instagram post. “Dammit Angelina is still on the show and Ronnie isn’t,” a second person complained.

A third fan pointed out that the show is filmed in Ronnie’s hometown. “We get y’all pamper Sam but they can be adults and film together. what was all the buildup for?!” they wrote.
Ronnie appeared in the first few seasons of the Jersey Shore spinoff, but he left the show several years ago. He had some domestic violence issues he was dealing with and took time away from being on camera to focus on his mental health.
In more recent seasons, he has come back as a guest and then became a recurring cast member again. Jersey Shore fans were anticipating him coming face to face with Sammi again years after they dated. Needless to say, it was awkward, despite Sammi saying that she doesn’t have a problem being in episodes with Ronnie.
During the first half of Season 7, viewers saw Ronnie join the rest of the cast in Tucson. While there, he met Sammi’s new boyfriend, Justin. Even though the interaction between the two men went fine, Sammi admitted in a confessional that she didn’t want to see Ronnie and Justin become friends at any point.
There is some good news for fans though. Ronnie appeared several times in the trailer for Family Vacation last month. So, he will likely show up at some point during the second half of the season.
New episodes of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation air on Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on MTV. Previous episodes can be streamed on Paramount+.
