Melissa Ordway Is Back at Y&R!
Phew! Melissa Ordway is certainly keeping very busy! After announcing that she’s signed on with The Epic Agency as an influencer and flying to North Carolina for a guest spot on Blue Ridge: The Series, the actress is already back in Los Angeles taping again as Abby on The Young & The Restless!
“Abby’s back in Genoa City for a couple episodes with her Newman and Winters families!” Ordway shared on Instagram, sharing some selfies with co-stars like TV hubby Bryton James (Devon) and Christel Khalil (Lily) as well as a snap of a Society cocktail menu and a video of framed Newman family portraits.
Ordway took over the role of Abby Newman from Emme Rylan back in 2013, but her fans were disappointed when she announced in November 2024 that she had been taken off contract at Y&R. “I am still playing Abby,” the actress assured her loyal supporters. “It’s just in a different capacity.”

The last time Ordway was seen on screen was back in January when Abby was appalled to see Ian Ward back in Genoa City acting as though he was a changed man and urged Mariah not to let him get to her. If she’s back filming at the beginning of March, viewers can look forward to seeing her episodes air sometime in early April.
Might Abby find herself getting mixed up in whatever drama Damian is bringing to the Winters family? Or might it be more Newman-centric? April is when Victor and Nikki celebrate their anniversary after all… perhaps a party at Society is in order? It’s just a shame that Ordway will only be back for a couple of episodes.
