Santa Monica Stabbing Suspect Remains At Large: Police
SANTA MONICA, CA — A man suspected of stabbing another man in Santa Monica this week remains at large, and authorities are asking for the public's help identifying him, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.Police responded to 5th Court and Broadway Wednesday at around 7 p.m., where they found a homeless man suffering from a stab wound. Paramedics transported the man to a local hospital for treatment, where he remained in "serious, but stable" condition," police said Friday afternoon."This incident marks another unacceptable crime in the City of Santa Monica that involves the intersection of complex societal issues of homelessness, substance abuse, and dangerous weapons," police said.The man suspected of committing the stabbing is a Black man between 20 and 25 years old, who has dreadlocks and a "very distinctive 'FTP' tattoo on his face," police said.Detectives are continuing to search for camera footage that may have captured the incident.
