Arsenal and Liverpool have both been linked with a summer swoop to try and bring him to the Premier League.
However, it is Real Madrid that have won the race to sign Mbappe after chasing him for years.
The French forward is believed to have signed a five-year deal that will keep him at the Bernabeu until June 2029.
Now AS are claiming that Mbappe‘s salary will be vastly reduced despite him being one of the top earners at the Bernabeu.
The star is coming to the end of a two-year deal at PSG that netted him a whopping £5.1million per week.
But this latest report in the Spanish media states that Mbappe’s new contract will be almost two-thirds less than what he is currently on.
However, he will still receive a handsome salary.
It claims that Mbappe will pocket £21m-a-year – which equates to £404,000-a-week.

And that will make him Madrid’s best-paid player.
Confirming his exit in a video message after seven years yesterday, Mbappe said: “It’s hard, and I never thought it would be this difficult to announce that I will leave my country.
“France, the Ligue 1, a league I have always known.
“But I think I needed this, a new challenge after seven years. It’s difficult and of course there are some people I want to thank above all. These are the fans.
“I know I’m not the most demonstrative player. I haven’t always lived up to you for seven years. I have always wanted to be effective.
“PSG is a club that never leaves anyone indifferent. We can love it or hate it.
“I made the choice of loving it and I did it for seven years, with ups and downs of course. But I do not have any regrets at any moment signing with this prestigious club.
“It’s a club that I will keep in my memory my entire life. I will tell everybody my whole life I had the chance to play.”
Mbappe will bid farewell to Parc des Princes later today in his final home match when they take on Toulouse.
The already-crowned Ligue 1 champions then travel to Nice on Wednesday before facing Metz in their final top-flight match next Sunday.
PSG then take on Lyon on Saturday 25 May in the French Cup Final.
