Jeopardy! fans ‘figure out’ new host for pop culture spinoff on Amazon Prime – and it’s not Ken Jennings
JEOPARDY! Fans think they cracked the code on the next host for the new spinoff.
It was announced earlier this week that a game show, centered around entertainment and pop culture topics – will soon stream on Amazon Prime Video.

Pop Culture Jeopardy! excited several social media fans after it was announced and got several investigators trying to figure out more information on what the show would entail.
Despite the streaming platform, further details on hosts, contestants and other areas have not been announced.
Some speculated that current host Ken Jennings would take the role, while others thought it could be someone new.
Reddit fans flocked to the site to discuss the news of the show’s launch and speculated on who would step up.
“Time to speculate on hosts! Unless Ken is doing it which is cool too. Please not Seacrest,” wrote one fan in a game show thread.
Ryan Seacrest is due to take over Pat Sajak as the host of Wheel of Fortune, which left fans upset.
Another fan seems to think they discovered who will take on the Pop Culture Jeopardy! job.
“Katie Nolan,” simply replied a fan.
Sportscaster Katie Nolan worked on Apple TV+’s Friday Night Baseball and previously appeared on Celebrity Jeopardy!
She won Final Jeopardy! with a $9000 lead after her opponents gambled their winnings and lost.
The television presenter appeared to have interacted with the show via social media, which fans took as a clue.
“She retweeted this article and has worked with Michael Davies before,” wrote a third fan.
Michael Davies is a game show producer who works on Jeopardy! and other shows such as Who Wants To Be a Millionaire.
Another fan suggested she would be “fun,” while others thought other hosts had a chance.
FAMILIAR FACES?
“I’m guessing Buzzy, though my dream pick for a show like this is Questlove. The man is a living encyclopedia of pop culture,” speculated a fifth.
Buzzy Cohen is a Los Angeles music executive who previously wowed fans with his knowledge on pop culture.
He won the 2017 Tournament of Champions and later appeared in the All-Star Games.
The star also guest hosted for the show’s 2021 Tournament of Champions following Alex Trebek‘s death.

“I was super excited for this but with Buzzy I’d be through the roof!” added another Reddit user.
“Dare we dream for bon vivant and man about town Steve Martin Sam Buttrey?” suggested another in reference to a contestant, Sam Buttrey, who looks the spitting image of Steve Martin.
TECHNICAL ISSUES
There has been no announcement of the next host, but fans have already slammed the show after their application process failed.
A website glitch prevented users from putting their name in the running for a new competition.
On Wednesday, Jeopardy!’s official Instagram page encouraged their followers to sign up to be a contestant through a graphic.
They included a link to their website, where fans could enter their details.
But fans struggled to access the site due to a technical error and voiced their frustrations in the comments.
“What’s a girl got to do to get permission to access?” one person wrote.
“So no one else can actually click on Create a New Team, right? I’ve made my account and now, nothing?” another perplexed fan asked.
“Is anyone else getting access denied,” wondered a third.
“I’ve tried to apply twice and get an error message after submitting,” a fourth complained.
