HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —The Horsham Township and Hatboro Borough police departments now have communication cards available at their lobby windows for deaf and hard-of-hearing motorists who would like one. These cards help the police officer and motorist better identify ways to communicate during a car stop, accident, broken-down vehicle, or other police encounter. These cards could be kept in the vehicle's visor or with other vehicle documents like the vehicle’s registration and insurance cards. Anyone who might benefit from having one of these cards should stop into the police stations' lobby and request one.At the recent Hatboro Borough Council worksession, Police Chief Mark Ruegg talked about the importance of the cards for communication purposes with police officers.(Horsham Township)The article Communication Cards Introduced For Deaf Hatboro-Horsham Residents appeared first on Hatboro-Horsham, PA Patch.
