Lamar Jackson and Troy Aikman have ended their legal battle, with the Baltimore Ravens quarterback's representation withdrawing his challenge of the Dallas Cowboys legend's trademark application of the word 'EIGHT'.
Both players have infamously worn the No 8 during their football careers, with both wanting to use the number to sell their brands of merchandise.
Jackson's withdrawal was made on Monday in a court filing with the U.S Patent and Trademark Office, per Gerben.
Court documents showed the filings with made 'with prejudice' to a pair of pending Aikman applications.
The filings also state the withdrawal did not come with Aikman's consent, which signals that the former quarterback likely would have been favored in the case.
Classifying the withdrawal as 'with prejudice' five Jackson unable to sue Aikman for the same thing again.

The legal battle between gridiron stars began last July, as Jackson has his own trademarks that include of 'ERA 8' and 'ERA 8 BY LAMAR JACKSON'.
Jackson's legal representation argued that 'EIGHT' would confuse buyers as to whether or not any merchandise would be affiliated with the Ravens quarterback.
Aikman's lawyers later argued to the federal office that Jackson's representation were 'unresponsive' in the matter.
In March, Aikman's team filed for Jackson's team to comply with a discovery request, which is typically used for the parties to discuss information in the case, with the former Cowboys' legal representation alleging that the Ravens quarterback's attorneys had not responded to their requests.
The terms of the settlement will remain confidential and sets both men up to use their respective trademarks as previously mandated.
Jackson, 28, is one of the biggest stars in the NFL chasing his first Super Bowl ring.
Aikman has been a color commentator for NFL games for more than two decades since his retirement, constantly teamed with Joe Buck, with the duo making the jump to ESPN in 2022.
