Home Repair Fraud? Woman, 43,Faces Arrest Warrant From This Joliet Police Detective
JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department is out trying to find Sarah Owano now that the 43-year-old citizen of the community faces a felony charge of home repair fraud. Owano comes from the 8000 block of Joliet's Shady Oak Road.Will County Judge James Harvey signed last week's warrant, authorizing Joliet police officials to take Owano into custody. So far, she has not been captured.According to Joliet police detective Jeremy Eaton's warrant, Owano works at Tritan Plumbing on Bode Street in Plainfield. The criminal complaint indicates that June 12, Owano committed the crime of home repair fraud because she "knowingly entered into an agreement or contract with "a man for home repair, the repair of his hot water heater, in that she would fix and repair his hot water heater and well tank, which the defendant did not intent to perform or knew would not be performed and the amount of the contract or agreement is more than $1,000."According to the Better Business Bureau website, Tritan Plumbing started in 2012, and it consists of four employees and Sarah Owano is listed as president and co-owner.Tritan Plumbing is not BBB accredited, the bureau announced. "Tritan Plumbing offers Plumbing Services, Septic Tank Service, and Heating, Ventilating & Air Conditioning Service. Plumbing Services, Sewer and Drain Cleaning, Sewer and Drain Repairs, Septic Cleaning and Repairs," the BBB website proclaims.The article Home Repair Fraud?
