Trio Arrested, Charged For Running BK Gun Trafficking Ring: Feds
BROOKLYN, NY — Three men have been charged after illegally trafficked more than 40 firearms from a drive-thru restaurant’s parking lot, according to a six-count indictment unsealed by federal prosecutors on Friday.Yashiya Louisdor, of Brooklyn, Zaire Alman and Marques Seals, of Georgia were arrested Thursday and arraigned before Magistrate Judge Vera Scanlon on Friday, prosecutors said. A fourth defendant is still at large.During the arrests, 33 guns, including several rifles and shotguns, were recovered, prosecutors said. In just three short months, the defendants attempted to bring over 40 guns into our community to sell them on our streets, including selling near an elementary school,” said U.S. Attorney Breon Peace. “Thanks to our Office and our law enforcement partners, this gun trafficking ring has been dismantled, and we hope this sends a message to all who seek to profit from the illegal gun trade that we will not stop in our efforts to keep our community safe.”According to the indictment, the group made multiple sales of illegal firearms, including semi-automatic and defaced weapons, between February 2024 and April 2024. Some of those firearms had defaced serial numbers, prosecutors said. The group conducted many of the transactions in a vehicle in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant in Brooklyn. They also conducted these firearm sales in a vehicle near a publictransportation hub in Manhattan, prosecutors said.In most cases, guns were obtained in Georgia then transported to New York where they were sold in Brooklyn, prosecutors said.
