The money was down for Aidan O’Brien’s star filly and she was smashed into almost evens by the off.
But Ryan Moore couldn’t get her going down the hill while Chris Hayes stole a march on legendary Irish trainer Dermot Weld’s 13-2 chance.
Hayes said after victory: “I’m just like Del Boy Trotter – I’m bluffing my way through!
“Dermot’s a master trainer.”
Weld last won the Oaks – the top race in the world for three-year-old fillies – 43 years ago, before jockey Hayes was born.
Southampton boy Charlie Appleby’s Dance Sequence did brilliantly well to finish second at 7-1.
While there was a shock in third as War Chimes rounded out the places at 50-1 for trainer David Menuisier.
