Earthquake Near South Pasadena Rattles Los Angeles Area
SOUTH PASADENA, CA — An earthquake near South Pasadena rattled Los Angeles County Sunday morning.The 3.4-magnitude quake was reported at 9:56 a.m. about 2.4 miles southwest of South Pasadena, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. It had a depth of 6.4 miles.Residents reported feeling the quake across Los Angeles County, including in Downtown Los Angeles, Altadena, Glendale, Pasadena and South Pasadena, according to the USGS's "Did You Feel It?" map.Seismologist Dr. Lucy Jones, who was in South Pasadena at the time of the quake, described it as "sharp and short" on X, formerly known as Twitter.
