5 Fun Things To Do In Bucks County This Weekend

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — This weekend is all about celebrating mom. And when it comes to celebrating mom, there's no place better to do it than in Bucks County.While the weather will bring us a mixed bag for mom's big weekend - sunny with temperatures in the lower 60s on Saturday with cooler temperatures and showers moving in for Mother's Day itself - there are plenty of places to take mom indoors and outdoors this weekend.Brunch and dinner are a sure bet for Mother's Day at one of Bucks County's many different restaurants and eateries. Check your local Patch sites for more details.The Dublin Town Center has a full schedule of events planned this weekend to celebrate mom, including jazz music, refreshing Mimosas and complimentary carnations and gift bags while they last.On Saturday, Picnics on Pine returns to the streets of Doylestown with live music, craft vendors and good food. It's a great place to take mom for an evening of crafts, food and live quality music.Rain or shine, the Stover Mill Gallery in Erwinna presents a duo art exhibit featuring stunning images by an Upper Black Eddy photographer and watercolor paintings by a New Jersey artist.Here are five fun things to do in Bucks County this weekend:Celebrate Mom With Crafts, Jazz, And More At DublinThe Dublin Town Center will celebrate Mother’s Day weekend with a grand opening celebration, a craft market, a jazz duo and a special Sunday breakfast. On Saturday, shoppers are invited to attend a Craftery Market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Square with more than 20 vendors, food, drinks and live music. Also on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Mercatino Pronto at The Square will officially celebrate its grand opening with live music, a photo booth, giveaways, and more. Also on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the Malcolm Clark Jazz Duo will be playing live at The Station. An unforgettable Mother’s Day celebration is planned commencing at The Station on Sunday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Treat mom to breakfast at Manhattan Bagel, where she can indulge in a selection of delectable treats. Mom can also sip on refreshing Mimosas, Bloody Marys, and a variety of beverages from Neshaminy Creek Brewing, all while basking in a live musical performance by Nicole Gordon, an acclaimed singer-songwriter. Mothers attending the event at The Station will be greeted with a complimentary carnation, a raffle ticket, and an exclusive prize bag filled with treasures from vendors like Pineapple on Main, Manes on Main, and more (while supplies last). Mother’s Day festivities at the Square continue until 4 p.m.The Dublin Town Center on Route 313 in Dublin Borough.Picnics On Pine Packed With Music, Food and CraftsPicnics on Pine return to Doylestown Borough on Saturday, May 11 with an evening of live music, great food and a craft makers market. The event begins at 4:30 p.m. along Pine Street from Oakland Avenue to Taylor Avenue. Entrance is at 84 East Oakland.Jamison-based Simply Delicious By Tina will be providing a fun, picnic-inspired menu. There will also be a makers market full of local craft vendors. Attendees are encouraged to bring their blankets or chairs to enjoy the music and delicious bites as the sun goes down on Pine.Saturday's event will feature sets by two up and coming regional songwriters, CLOVER from Frenchtown, N.J., and Moustapha jNoumbissi of Philadelphia. Clover just completed a tour of the East Coast. “She has a songwriter sound that can be funky and it can be intimate,” said Picnics on Pine organizer Joe Montone. The dual exhibit features a variety of Holtzman’s photographic subject matters, printed on fine art paper along with works applied to more atypical surfaces, including metal, acrylic, canvas, and wood. It also features works by Sharon Pitts who has been exploring with watercolor for 40 years, concentrating on large, lush canvases. Three works will be presented during free public readings at Lambertville Hall in Lambertville, N.J. The three plays are “Muslim in the Midst” by Anand Rao on Friday, May 10 at 7 p.m., “American Hunger” by Nikhil Mahapatra on May 11 at 2 p.m., and “Tea for Toofi” by Ravi Kapoor on May 11 at 7 p.m. First announced in 2022, The South Asian Artistic Initiative (SAAI) is a multi-disciplinary artistic program dedicated to promoting, showcasing, and building an awareness of the impact of arts and artists of South Asian heritage. The inaugural readings feature works selected after an extensive screening process. Award-winning Playwright Rajiv Joseph (“Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo”), Anne Cattaneo (Lincoln Center), Christian Parker (former Associate Artistic Director of The Atlantic theater Company), Kiran Merchant and Playhouse producers, Goodman, Fraser, and Fiedler made the final selections.
