Hollyoaks confirms ‘spine-chilling’ late night special with new and returning cast
Hollyoaks Later returns in October
To coincide with the Channel 4 soap’s 30th birthday celebrations in October, Hollyoaks Later will return for a one-off episode.
Taking the beloved villagers into a post-watershed realm, fans will undoubtedly be excited by the return of the after-dark version of the Channel 4 soap which promises to be ‘spine-chilling’
The episode will feature the debut of new series regular, Tisha Merry, known to soap fans as Coronation Street’s Steph Britton.
Speaking on her new role, Steph said: ‘I’m absolutely over the moon to be joining the cast of Hollyoaks. It’s a fabulous opportunity and an incredible time to join as they celebrate their 30th birthday week.

Although show bosses are keeping tight-lipped on any existing connections to the residents of the Chester village, it has been revealed that Gemma will be instantly linked to Hollyoaks’ pre-eminent bad boy Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas).

Speaking on the latest in a long line of returns for Foxy, Jamie said:
‘Warren has been busy since you last saw him, wanting to rebuild his empire and start afresh after the heartbreak with Mercedes. We’ll be filming a lot on location and they’re pulling out all the stops so I’m looking forward to it.’

The episode will feature the re-emergence of Theresa McQueen as actress Jorgie Porter returns from maternity leave. Speaking about her return, Jorgie said: ‘It’s really exciting to be a part of Laters, I’ve been in so many over the years and they’re always my favourite – hopefully I get a swear word this time.‘Theresa is scheming with an unlikely business partner and its fun to see her living life on the edge again. It’s incredible to time my return with the Hollyoaks 30th birthday week too, I couldn’t miss it.’

Hollyoaks Later has a history of delivering some of the most brutal and daring moments in soap history over its 17-year tenure.
The first series saw the climax of the ‘secret McQueen’ storyline, when Niall Rafferty’s reign of terror came to an end with a terrifying cliff-top showdown. The second series featured the demise of Sarah Barnes in a sabotaged parachute-plunge that haunted viewers long after the credits rolled.
The fourth series saw serial killer Silas un-shackled from the early-evening time slot and brutally murder Rae Wilson, while series five featured savage fan-favourite Brendan Brady in a number of gruesome and bloody scenes.
The latest offering of Later saw serial killer Breda McQueen (Moya Brady) meet her maker. After terrorising the village in a mission to rid the world of ‘bad dads’, her son, Sylver (David Tag) put a stop to her nefarious activities via a knitting needle to the head.
