Only One Boat Stayed in the Ocean

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6vBBlmXLcg

Man, we had some wicked thunderstorms roll through the area in the middle of the night last night and then today was dreary and overcast for most of the day.  There were some intermittent rain showers left over this morning, but overall the afternoon was drier so some folks got out to hit the bay.  As far as the ocean was concerned, I only know of one boat that left the inlet that stayed out and they did very, very good on the white marlin.

Captain Anthony Matarese, Sr. was at the helm of the Reel Chaos today and he turned at all the right turns and helped his crew catch and release 11 white marlin in what Anthony Jr. referred to as "very rough" conditions.

I fished the OC Inlet this afternoon and had some fun.  The mullet run has begun and the rockfish, blues and trout are all over them.  I caught one bluefish on a Thing A Ma Jig and then bottom fished catching three tautog and a flounder on shrimp.

Captain Will from Local Hooker Charters had a nice evening today boxing a keeper flounder, a bluefish and a grey trout (weakfish).

Stuart Lackernick used a Deadly Tackle Deadly Double in orange with a white Gulp to land this very nice 22.5" flounder in the Thorofare.

The Tobin boys had a great time throwing Thing A Ma Jigs in the OC Inlet catching some bluefish and rockfish on the incoming tide.

Yesterday, Captain Nick from the WOP had another good day putting some meat in the cooler with mahi and some bonita.
