Hideyuki Hori & Yuki Tamai Join Voice Cast of Mission: Yozakura Family
Hideyuki Hori and Yuki Yamai have joined the voice cast of Mission: Yozakura Family, appearing in the anime’s eighth episode on May 26, 2024. The anime first premiered in Japan on April 7, 2024.
Hori voices Yoshimasa Kuroda, while Tamai voices Hinagiku biology unit member Kaoru Akikaze.

They join the anime’s main voice cast, which includes:
• Reiji Kawashima as Taiyo Asano
• Kaede Hondo as Mutsumi Yozakura
• Katsuyuki Konishi as Kyoichiro Yozakura
• Akari Kito as Futaba Yozakura
• Kazuyuki Okitsu as Shinzou Yozakura
• Aoi Yuuki as Shion Yozakura
• Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Kengo Yozakura and Goliath
• Yumi Uchiyama as Nao Yozakura
Mirai Minato (Masamune-kun’s Revenge, The Dungeon of Black Company, Sasaki and Peeps) is directing the anime series and writing the screenplay, with Mizuki Takahashi (Kizuna no Allele co-chief animation director) as character designer and chief animation director, and Sus4’s Koji Fujimoto (Ragna Crimson) and Osamu Sasaki (Ragna Crimson) as music composers. SILVER LINK is handling the animation production for the series.
The anime adaptation is based on the action-comedy manga series by Hitsuji Gondaira, which was first launched in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump on August 26, 2019. Twenty-three tankobon volumes have been released as of April 2024, with a 24th volume set for release on June 4, 2024.

The anime series has been listed in Hulu’s April lineup as a Hulu Original title in the United States. Disney+ is streaming the series elsewhere, outside of Japan.
VIZ Media releases the Mission: Yozakura Family manga series in English, describing the synopsis as:
Taiyo Asano is a super-shy high school student and the only person he can talk to is his childhood friend Mutsumi Yozakura. However, Mutsumi comes from a line of master spies with amazing powers. Her oldest brother, Kyoichiro, is obsessed with Mutsumi and out to kill anyone who gets remotely near her — and his next target is Taiyo! The only way for Taiyo to save himself from Kyoichiro’s murderous clutches is to marry Mutsumi!
