My patio was swamped in green algae and dirt – a £7 buy made it look brand new in DAYS & somehow it keeps getting better
GREEN algae loves patios: it thrives in the damp, shaded areas and feeds on leaves, dirt and pollen.
The slime is an eyesore and can even lead to long-term staining or discoloration of your beloved outdoor tiles.

Luckily, green-fingered Brits have unearthed the ultimate £6.94 solution to get rid of green algae for good.
What’s more, one gardener has claimed that their patio is “somehow still getting cleaner and brighter” two weeks after using it.
According to the Brit, Everbuild’s Patio Wizard “works a treat” on green algae and accumulated dirt.
“We have a patio made of Indian sandstone slabs which looked fantastic when first laid, but got really dirty and green in places quite quickly,” they said.
“Power washing sorts it out for a short while but the muck and green areas come back fairly quickly.
“We were thinking of having it all ripped up and spending a lot of money on porcelain paving.
“However, I wanted to see if our patio could be saved first.
“We tried this stuff out and I honestly couldn’t believe my eyes.
“In three days it had got rid of all the mucky looking and green areas on the patio – I was so pleased.
“It’s now two weeks later and somehow it’s still getting cleaner and brighter.
“I’m even more pleased.
“The lovely natural colours of the slabs are back. It looks nearly new again.”
They added that the product is “much better than spending ages jet washing it and getting soaked and cold”.
Patio Wizard is typically priced at £8.97 but you can currently pick it up in Amazon’s spring sale for just £6.94.

“Ideal for killing outdoor mould and algae, this concentrated formula is designed to do the job without the need for scrubbing or pressure washing,” a blurb on it reads.
“Everbuild Patio Wizard is made from biodegradable ingredients and does not contain bleach, so it’s safe for children and pets once dry.
“Depending on the level of growth, this concentrated formula covers around 60 square metres once diluted, so it’s exceptional value for money.
“Dilute one part Patio Wizard to nine parts water and apply using a watering can, sprayer or brush and leave it to dry.
“The effects can be seen within one to three days.”
