Eight games into his #Cavs tenure, I think it’s easy to see that De’Andre Hunter is both a floor and ceiling raiser for this team.

Ty Jerome just received a tech from Natalie Sago. No one on the Cleveland bench seems happy with the officiating crew so far this afternoon. – 4:09 PM

No awards are handed out based on just one game, but it certainly feels, at least, notable that the perceived Sixth Man of the Year frontrunner was unplayable and a -36 while #Cavs Ty Jerome was instrumental in the comeback and a game-high +34. – 11:31 PM

Ty Jerome was a game-high plus-34 tonight in 21 minutes for the #Cavs.
Boston’s Payton Pritchard was a game-low minus-36 in 25 minutes for the Celtics. – 11:04 PM

“They’re not getting Ty Jerome for $2.5 million, and they’re probably not getting Sam Merrill for $2 million. Ty is more in the range of the non-taxpayer midlevel exception, maybe the full midlevel exception. I think the Cavs would be comfortable between $12 to $14 million annually, maybe $10 to $13 million. Something like that. It’s got to be a competitive offer. Some of this is going to be dictated by the market, but I think right around the midlevel exception is his right valuation.” -via YouTube / February 27, 2025
