It’s Morat’s Turn: ‘Me Toca a Mi’ With Camilo Tops Latin Airplay & Band Is ‘Beyond Excited’ for First Billboard No. 1

Morat starts off the week with a new milestone, as “Me Toca a Mi,” with Camilo, rockets from No. 14 to No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart (dated Aug. 2). The Colombian pop/rock group celebrates its first No. 1 on any Billboard chart. Camilo returns to the summit, with his first in more than three years.

“We’re beyond excited to have our first No. 1 on Billboard,” Morat tells Billboard. “It’s a milestone for us as a band, and getting there with Camilo – who we’ve known since we were young in Bogotá – makes it even more special.”
With a 14-1 surge, “Me Toca a Mi” marks the biggest jump to the top of the overall Latin Airplay tally of 2025 so far. The last song with a bigger jump to No. 1 in a single week was on the July 20, 2024-dated chart, when Los Angeles Azules y Emilia’s “Perdonarte Para Que?” rose 15-1. Three other songs in 2024 also hiked at least 13 spots to No. 1 in a single week — including the year’s biggest jump to No. 1: when Grupo Firme’s “El Beneficio de La Duda” rocketed 24-1 on the July 13, 2024-dated chart.
Here are the songs with the biggest climbs to No. 1 on Latin Airplay in 2025 so far:
Positions Jumped, Title, Artist(s), Chart Date
13, “Me Toca a Mi,” Morat & Camilo (Aug. 2)
12, “Otra Noche,” Myke Towers Featuring Darell (Feb 22)
11, “No Se Dice,” Gerardo Coronel “El Jerry” (May 17)
10, “Rio,” J Balvin (July 12)
10, “Raíces,” Gloria Estefan (May 10)
“Me Toca a Mi,” which was released May 23 via Universal Music Latino/UMLE, lands at the summit on Latin Airplay in its 11th week, after a 64% gain in audience impressions, to 9.1 million, earned in the United States during the July 18-24 tracking week, according to Luminate. The sudden surge in the song’s popularity can be traced to five Univision stations: KVVF-FM San Jose, Calif., KQMR-FM Phoenix, KAMA-FM Houston, KDXX-FM Dallas and WVIV-FM Chicago.
“We’re beyond grateful for everyone who’s listened, shared, and believed in the music,” adds Morat. “We’ll make sure to thank them properly rocking out in one of our concerts.”
“Me Toca a Mi” also rises to lead the Latin Pop Airplay chart, earning the Greatest Gainer honors for achieving the largest increase in audience for the week at the format. It also translates to Morat’s first champ among three entries. Camilo, meanwhile, his seventh. He last ruled both, the Latin Airplay and Latin Pop Airplay rankings, through “Baloncito Viejo,” with Carlos Vives, in June 2022.
