Who Is Gio on General Hospital?
Giovanni, better known as Gio on General Hospital is a new face, so it’s only natural fans are curious about the character and his portrayer. Gio is being portrayed by actor Giovanni Mazza, who made his daytime debut in the May 16, 2024 episode. Before joining the cast of GH, he appeared in some short films, an episode of Chicago Fire, and Bella and the Bulldogs. He is also a talented violinist, as fans discovered in his very first episode of the soap!
Giovanni Palmieri arrived at the church for Brook Lynn Quartermaine and Harrison Chase’s wedding and the first person he ran into was Josslyn Jacks. He introduced himself as Brook Lynn’s cousin and explained he wouldn’t need to be seated because he would be playing the violin for the ceremony. After performing some Bach as the wedding party entered, he switched to the traditional wedding march as Brook Lynn came down the aisle.

At the reception, Gio sought out his uncle Sonny Corinthos and was introduced to his date, Natalia Rogers-Ramirez. When she complimented his playing at the ceremony, Gio explained that he would never be as good as his mother, but was grateful to Sonny for paying for his musical education. Sonny was confident the kid would become a concert violinist one day.
