The Knicks head to Boston with a chance to earn a trip to the Eastern Conference finals for the first time since 2000.
Sadly, the Celtics won’t be whole in Game 5 and beyond after Jayson Tatum went down with a torn Achilles tendon late in the fourth quarter Monday.

The Knicks have to crush any semblance of Celtics hope
That’s a big chunk of the Celtics’ scoring attack that will need to be replaced.
As expected, most of Boston’s rotation saw a scoring uptick in the 10 games Tatum missed during the regular season, but one player in particular went to another level.
Largely coming off the bench, Payton Pritchard upped his scoring average from 13.6 with a healthy Tatum to 19 a game with the superstar sidelined this season.
When Tatum was down with a wrist injury in Game 2 of the Celtics’ opening round series against the Magic, Pritchard filled the scoring void nicely, scoring 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting.
He’s proven he can score on this tough Knicks defense in this series as well, averaging 14.3 points on 43.9 percent shooting overall and 38.7 percent from 3 on 7.8 attempts a game.

Pritchard’s points over/under is sitting at 13.5 with juice on the Under – he’s already getting that number with a healthy Celtics roster.
