3 Arrested In Southwest RivCo DUI Checkpoint: Sheriff

TEMECULA, CA — Southwest Station of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people in a Friday DUI checkpoint, the agency confirmed. One person was arrested for Driving Under the Influence, while two others were arrested on criminal warrants, according to Sgt. Bill Pratt. Their names and specific charges were not immediately released.Officers manned the DUI checkpoint, held at Jefferson Avenue and Del Rio Road, from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday morning. During that time, multiple citations were given during the checkpoint operation."In total, six drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license, and 257 vehicles were contacted," Pratt said. "An additional subject was cited for driving with an open container of alcohol in the vehicle."DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes.
