‘The Big Bang Theory’ Co-Creator Teases Original Stars’ Return in Spinoff
Fans of The Big Bang Theory should have some hope that they'll see the return of fan-favorite characters from the original series in the spinoff, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, after co-creator Chuck Lorre teased the possibility in new comments.While promoting his upcoming Netflix show Leanne, which premieres on July 31, Lorre spoke with TVLine about a variety of topics, including the upcoming spinoff of his hit TV series The Big Bang Theory, which he co-created with Bill Prady. 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬According to the official logline for the upcoming sitcom, "Comic book store owner Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman) is tasked with restoring reality after he breaks a device built by Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki), accidentally bringing about a multiverse Armageddon.TVLine reporter Ryan Schwartz asked Lorre if this meant that Parsons and Galecki will make an appearance in the new show, with Lorre saying, "I cannot speak to that. That is a closely guarded piece of information that, you know… I’ve taken a blood oath regarding."The reporter then referenced the possibility that the entire original cast could return in some way, leading Lorre to ask, "Is that your hope?""It would be my hope, and I think millions of—” Schwartz replied, with Lorre cutting in to say, "You’re going to love this show," appearing to hint at the return of fan-favorite characters. Along with Parsons and Galecki, fans surely hope to see other The Big Bang Theory cast members like Kaley Cuoco, Mayim Bialik, Kunal Nayyar, Simon Helberg, and Melissa Rauch back on their televisions in the new show.
