Vanessa Paradis’ Rare Red Carpet Appearance Shows She Really Is Daughter Lily-Rose Depp’s Lookalike
Despite being a literal icon, we don’t see Vanessa Paradis on the red carpet that often, but when we do, she knows how to take our breath away. (And this rare appearance really does show that she and her daughter Lily-Rose Depp are lookalikes!)
On Oct 1, Paradis arrived, along with a bunch of other stars, at the Opening Season Ballet Gala at Palais Garnier. The Parisian event is all about bringing “together the students of the Ballet School, all the dancers of the Company, and for the first time, the dancers of the Junior Ballet,” per their official website. And for the occasion, Paradis wowed in a vibrant gown.

In the photos, we see Paradis rocking an off-the-shoulder hot pink ruffled gown from Chanel’s AW19 Couture collection. Along with the showstopping, floor-length gown, she paired the look with a stack of gold rings and let her flowing gold hair down.
Not only does this look stunning, but as we look at her, we’re totally reminded of how much she and Depp look alike.

In a previous interview with The Face, Depp was asked to reflect on her mother’s career, and she instantly said her mother taught her so much about embracing herself and her sexuality.
“People were truly horrible to her. It was a different time. Women weren’t as celebrated for being comfortable in their sexuality,” she said. “My mum is a trailblazer, truly. She’s taught me a lot about self-confidence.”
