Plus-Sized Elf Reveals New Key Visual & Additional Voice Cast
A new key visual and additional voice cast members have been revealed for the upcoming Plus-Sized Elf TV anime adaptation. The anime series will begin broadcasting in Japan on July 6, 2024.

The nine new cast members will voice characters that are featured in the visual, which include:
• Miyu Kubota as Kusahanada
• Sora Tokui as Meru
• Madoka Asahina as Raika
• Aya Uchida as Oku & Akiho Ino
• Kotori Koiwai as Kobo
• Yuka Iguchi as Sateru
• Kaori Maeda as Honeda
• Aino Shimada as Gonda
• Mikoi Sasaki as Hitome

They join a main voice cast that stars:
• Takahide Ishii as Tomoatsu Naoe
• Ayasa Ito as Elfuda
• Rena Hasegawa as Kuroeda
• Ayaka Fukuhara as Olga
Toshikatsu Tokoro (Soul Link) is directing the anime series, with Katsuyuki Sato (Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!) as character designer, Yuuki Takabayashi (We Love Rice) as series screenwriter, and Cher Watanabe (The Prince of Tennis, Maken-Ki!) as music composer. Elias is in charge of the animation production.
The original manga series by Synedoche was launched digitally on Wani Books’ Comic Gum website from December 21, 2016 to June 17, 2020. Wani Books’ license for the manga expired in 2020, and the manga entered a short hiatus. Synecdoche then self published the 46th and 47th chapters of the manga on their Twitter account between April 30, 2021 to May 29, 2021. Eight total tankobon volumes were released during its publication.
Akita Shoten acquired the rights for the manga and reprinted the series between June 20, 2022 to February 20, 2023. Shortly after, a new sequel manga series titled Plus-Sized Elf: Super Sized! was launched in Dokodemo Young Champion on October 26, 2021, with three tankobon volumes being released as of January 2024.

HIDIVE will stream Plus-Sized Elf as part of its Summer 2024 simulcast, describing the synopsis as:
Naoe-kun, a massage therapist, is about to head home for the day when he’s saddled with a rather strange patient. This lovely lady has emerald eyes, pointy ears, and grew up in the forest—everything about her screams “elf,” except for one thing: her bodacious body. It turns out she left her world but loves junk food in this one, and now her obsession has caught up with her. Can Naoe-kun help this loveable elf girl lose the weight—and keep it off?
